Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, in his manifesto promised to construct a befitting Government House and Governor's Lodge in the state, which will facilitate seamless and efficient government operations. This promise comes after about 31 years of the state without a proper Government House and Governor's Lodge.

Governor Soludo noted that Anambra is possibly the only state in Nigeria without a proper Government House and Governor's Lodge, and his administration has budgeted to break this record. The construction of the new Government House and Governor's Lodge will go a long way in improving the image of the state and attracting investors, both local and international.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra State had earlier advised Governor Soludo to build the State Government House, saying that his predecessor, Willie Obiano, failed to do so. The party also urged that Soludo must, in any way, not fail to give Anambra State a befitting Government House.

Governor Soludo has already kicked off the project amongst many other projects and is set to be ready in 8 months after commencement. However, it is important to note that construction projects of this magnitude take time and resources, and unexpected challenges can arise during the process. Thus, it is too early to determine whether or not the promise will be fulfilled within the given time frame.

In conclusion, Governor Soludo's promise to construct a befitting Government House and Governor's Lodge in Anambra State is a step in the right direction towards improving the image of the state and attracting investors. However, it is still early to rate the promise as it will take time to see if the project will be completed within the given time frame. Nonetheless, it can be rated as "IN THE WORKS" as the governor has already taken steps towards the actualization of this promise.
