About the Grant

The Advokc Journalist Support Grant supports Nigerian journalists in creating evidence-based investigative stories that track government promises and hold leaders accountable. Using data from Promise Tracker NG, selected journalists will receive funding, and technical support to produce compelling stories that drive social change. The proposals should:  

• Demonstrate significant public interest value
• Show evidence-driven reporting that adheres to journalistic integrity.
• Be stories with the potential to inform citizens, influence public debate, and drive accountability effectively.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to all journalists regardless of experience or affiliation.
• Story proposals must be directly based on a promise currently tracked on our Promise Tracker NG platform.
• Be stories with the potential to inform citizens, influence public debate, and drive accountability effectively.
