How to play

Guess the Governance Wordle in 6 tries. The answer is always a word tied to government, elections, rights, or civic life — but you can type any real 5-letter English word as a guess to gather clues.

V is in the word and in the correct spot — tile turns green.

O is in the word but in the wrong spot — tile turns yellow.

E is not in the word at all — tile turns dark grey, and that letter greys out on the keyboard too.

If your first guess is wrong, a Give up button appears below the keyboard in case you want to bow out early and see the answer.

After every round — win, lose, or give up — you'll get a short explanation of what the word means in governance, plus a link to learn more. No word repeats until every word in the bank has come up once.
